Available to buy now - The Westbrook Classic Loafer and Kilt Tassel
The Westbrook classic loafer and the kilt tassel loafer represent a return to Sebago's origins in Maine, USA.
Using experience gained from over 100 years of shoemaking, the craftsmen in Maine construct these shoes to the highest standard. The individually knotted stitches can only be performed by hand. The classic moccasin construction wraps the foot in leather ensuring unbeatable comfort. The leather is tanned using a formula of natural oils - and we can testify it is simply sumptuous to the touch and wonderful to wear.
We are offering the brown classic loafer and the burgundy version of the tassel loafer for this seaon. We consider the natural mid brown colour suits the classic penny loader and sits well with the natural colour of the sole unit. The prominent off white stitching just enhances the appearence and helps to underline the quality of the footwear.
The burgundy colour enhances the flourish of style which the kilt tassel brings to the loafer. The subdued blackened sole unit edges finishes the look without drawing attention away from the style and colour of this fine shoe. It is sure to be noticed and admired where ever you wear it.
This video from The GQ website helps to demonstrate visually just what Sebago have acheived with this range of footwear. We are sure they are going to be popular with our customers.
We offer customers as wide a choice as possible by listing on our site not only all styles of which we have stock, but also all styles of which we currently believe we can obtain stock within a few days from the manufacturers. Read more about our approach...
The Alfred Sargent Country Collection has further expanded to encompass a new brogue boot - the Lombard and the a chukka boot made on the 87 last - the Bexhill.
The Lombard is manufactured on the 7wk last which is quite a generous last, accommodating a wider foot. Some customers will need to reduce their size by a UK half size to achieve a satisfactory fit. Please do email us for sizing advice if you have not bought items on the 7wk last previously.
The uppers feature black waxy calf and contrast stylishly with a natural coloured welt and matching laces. The sole is a rubber commando unit.
The Bexhill is made on the ever popular and very well fitting 87 last. There is now a rustic grain / mid brown version and a dark brown / snuff suede version. Both feature rubber studded Dainite soles so they retain an air of formality whilst retaining practical in slippery or wet environments.
We are very excited about these two additions - and we are sure you will share our enthusiasm.
Luxury silk ties, scarves and handkerchiefs handmade in England
Following an intriguing invitation, Pediwear recently visited Peckham Rye's shop just off London's Carnaby street.
Peckham Rye can trace back 6 generations of tailoring in their family - and the genuine vintage family photographs in their shop help to reinforce the pride and tradition of their family business.
Pediwear have examined a number of potential other suppliers for silk handkerchiefs - so we were genuinely impressed at the hand hemmed finish on the silk handerchiefs. Perfect as pocket squares - they are decorated with contemporary paisley and polka designs.
The range of skinny ties we have selected will bring current designs to your wardrobe in English handcrafted luxury.
The silk scarves offered by Peckham Rye are the most versatile of accessories. They will keep you warm in winter with the legendary insulating properties of silk, but yet be light enough to wear at a wedding in the spring or even summer. They can be worn as scarves or cravats.
