Alfred Sargent Factory Visit 8th February 2013
We recently had the pleasure of seeing the Exclusive and Country collections being made.
Since we started restocking with new Alfred Sargent footwear we have been itching to visit their factory again on Portland Road.
Chay Cooper took us on a wonderful tour of English shoemaking at the heart of the Northamptonshire industry. We were able to view the many processes involved in the making of Goodywear welted Alfred Sargent Exclusive collection and Country Collection shoes.
We were able to see the highly skilled workmanship first hand and meet some of the many characters who work in the factory. It really was a fascinating insight into the workings of this highly regarded brand of English shoemakers.
